Be sure to read carefully and observe published requirements. Applications submitted with incomplete or inappropriate data will be placed "On Hold" and will not be processed.
It is not necessary to complete your application in one sitting. The information you submit will be saved, and you will be able to return as many times as necessary until you are ready to submit. When completing your application, we ask especially that you observe standard grammatical rules of capitalization -- do not use all upper case or all lower case letters.
Application Submission - Applicants must submit/upload the following items at the time of application:
- Application fee – the nonrefundable application fee can be paid online by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) via our secure server. There are no fee waivers.
- Video recordings – Every applicant must upload video recordings. Instructions can be found at http://www.cim.edu/conservatory/admission/applying.php#32
- Academic documents – Academic transcripts must be uploaded by all applicants, and details can be found at http://www.cim.edu/conservatory/admission/applying.php#6. Additionally, standardized test scores are required of undergraduates, and TOEFL test scores for internationals.
Application Deadline
Some audition dates fill up before the application deadline of December 1. Be sure to apply early. Late applications are accepted only on a space-available basis and with late charges.
Audition Scheduling
Do not make travel arrangements until you receive official written confirmation of your audition from the Admission Office! You will receive an audition appointment only after you submit a fully completed application. Auditions are scheduled in the order applications are submitted.
Popular audition dates close before the deadline; so, apply as early as September or October if a specific audition date is important to you. CIM reserves the right to close applications whenever all available audition time has been scheduled.
